Turn Key Plants

Carbonating means that you heat organic material in a milieu free from oxygen. SES manufactures the carbonating plant, which is the heart of our recycling plant. The principle is based on batches of used tires loaded in retorts where before heating, the oxygen is replacend by nitrogen. The retorts will then be heated using technology developed for the CFC process. The fuel is the carbonating gas that the plant itself produces.Demonstration plant

A full-scale plant will consist of a storage area, large enough for a suitable number of tires, and a separate building for the carbonating plant. Furthermore, space for refinement, packing and storage of the extracted products must be within a short distance. It is an advantage if the plant can be placed near a heating-plant or industry that can use surplus gas/energy and perhaps also the oil that is produced. For each plant there must be performed a detailed feasibility study for the most beneficial economical arrangements.

A recycling plant will naturally be implemented with due considerations to the laws of the country where it will be located. The effect on the environment will be very little. At the planning stage of plants, consideration must be taken to the local environmental regulations and to the environmental regulations of the Government or the EU-Parliament (in Europe).

The plant should be located optimally from transportation point of view, as well as with respect to the raw material and the produced products. The need for transportation of the tires will be rather extensive; from the environmental point of view as well as with respect to the energy consumption, it will be best if the transportation distance can be as short as possible. Transportation by sea or by railway can in certain cases be more advantageous than by truck.
