The pyrolysis oil that is produced can be used as industrial oil, but will be more economical if it is used as raw material for production of hydrocarbons and chemicals. Through a special process it is possible to extract different chemicals from the pyrolysis oil. This also depend on the situation in the country the plant is established. The oil contains valuable components (aromatics) which have a high market value. If the refinement of these aromatics can be made in a cost-effective way, it will be an advantage from environmental and economical point of view. With a special process it is possible to fractionate the oil. Certain aromatics found in the oil can be used for production of chemicals. Refinement of the dl-limonene, which is an environmentally friendly solvent, can in certain cases be refined from the CFC oil. The dl-limonene is usually refined from citrus fruits, and has a high market value. Some of the oil can be reused in the production of new rubber. The heavy fraction can be used as industrial oil, asphalt bitumen or for the manufacture of new Carbon Black. Oil can be sold through different channels with the most obvious being directly to the oil industry. Our oil quality is comparable with Shells oil MFO 30. There are also markets for process-able oils that can be produced through distillation. The infrastructure in the oil industry is well developed with sales channels throughout the world. |
