The energy required to operate the plant will be taken from the tires which means that the energy costs will be very low. About half of the gas that is produced in the process is needed to operate the plant and the other half can be used to heat a central water heating distribution net or to produce electrical energy. If the produced gas is not sold as energy and if the plant is placed close to a facility requiring gas, a pipe connection can be established.

The only emissions of the plant will come from the burning of the gas during the heating process. The gas is comparable with natural gas and consists mainly of methane, ethane and propane.
